From youtube to avi

5 10 2009

Download clive:

$ sudo apt-get install clive

Download AviDemux:

$ sudo apt-get install avidemux

Find the youtube video you want and copy the adress, then run:

$ clive

Clive will now download the video in .mp4-format that is supported by most players, but if you import it to avidemux end choose output format (video and sound) as wanted and choose save to you can make it an .avi.

Those kinda sites is actually pretty useless for us. If you stream a youtube video (just let it finish loading), you can find the .flv file under /temp, where you can copy it and do whatever you want with it 😉
